The 2026 Anemone Race

The Anemone Race will take place again this year for the 12th time, featuring the most spectacular blooming scenery imaginable for a run – the anemone carpets of the northern Negev.

The three running routes will traverse Sharsheret-Nahal Gerar Park and its surroundings, an area of unique landscape, steeped in ancient history.

Along the undulating courses, runners will be exposed to the beauty of Nahal Gerar, the Sharsheret Forest, the springs in the streambed, and will be delighted by the seasonal blooms and the distinctive beauty of the anemones.

The race includes categories of competitive 10 km, competitive 5 km, and competitive and recreational 2.5 km.

Each participant will receive a race kit to be collected from the race venue at least half an hour before the start time, and will set off to run at their own comfortable pace.

The race kit includes branded festival gifts, a bib number, and additional treats from the sponsors.

At the event venue, there will be light refreshments for race finishers and comfortable rest areas.

Event Schedule:
7:00 – Venue opening and kit distribution (make sure to arrive at least 50 minutes before your race start time)
8:30 – 10 km competitive race start
8:50 – 5 km competitive race start
10:00 – 2.5 km competitive and popular race start together
10:30 – Closing ceremony for overall winners
