Letter and Name” Memorial – In Memory of the Murdered of Kibbutz Kfar Aza”

The memorial is located near Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Engraved on iron metals in their original handwriting are the names of 64 kibbutz members and members of the security response team who were murdered on October 7. The path in the middle of the memorial simulates a walking path in the kibbutz, giving expression to the crisis that Kibbutz Kfar Aza has been experiencing since that Saturday. At the end of the memorial, there is a map of the kibbutz with engraved names of central locations in the kibbutz.
The “Letter and Name” memorial was built by the Drainage Authority together with the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council and the management of Kfar Aza. The memorial is part of the BMH (Security-Water-Settlement) trail. This is a rideable path connecting 14 sites that tell the story of settlement in the northern Negev – from before the establishment of the state until today.
