Route length: 10 km Start and end point: A circular route which starts and ends at LaMedavesh, Be'eri.   Summary of the trip area: Points of interest along the way: The organic jojoba plantation - yielding oil for the cosmetics industry, the KKL-JNF watchtower (to fight bush fires), an ancient flour mill, the British Air Force's ammunition depots, the concrete road from the British era, the old Sulfur Mines, an impressive observation point. During the blooming season, enjoy a ride among the most stunning anemone carpets and many other flowers. Summary of the route: The route is marked only by a sign with a green bicycle drawing. Leave LaMedavesh and continue on the trail southward on a paved road to the observation tower. From there, continue until you reach a concrete road paved by the British, as part of their transportation routes, to the ammunition depots scattered around. On the right are the remains of a flour mill. Continue on the green path northwestward on an old concrete road between the abandoned British ammunition depots. Go uphill northeastward. On your left is a large, impressive Sulfur Mine carved out of yellowish eolianite (sandstone) rocks. Continue on the route to the observatory of old Be'eri and the Ali Al-Muntar ridge. Continue eastward until you return to the paved road where the trail started. Adenium Nursery by Rina and Danny Mor Cultivation, training and sale of the adenium plant (desert rose) Adenium Obesum ("Desert Rose") Adenium is a desert flower of the oleander family, native to the deserts of the Middle East, the Arabian Peninsula and East Africa. Due to its origin, it is resistant to heat and does not need much hydration, but it is susceptible to cold and excess water. In our country it blooms from spring to late summer. Ideally, it should be grown in a pot because, in winter, it should be moved to a place protected from rain and humidity. The root of the Adenium Obesum is bottle-shaped, which helps with the efficient storage of the little water the plant gets in the desert. Its large flowers are pink, crimson, red and white. In our nursery, you can learn about all growing stages, starting with the sowing, how the tender sprouts and seedlings are handled, watering and fertilizing, transferring seedlings from small to large pots, and how to root plant cuttings. Difficulty level: Medium Route length: Asaf Singletrack Kissufim, from Tel Gama - 28 km / From the entrance of Ma'on Synagogue - 22.5 km. Start and end point: 2 options: Tel Gama / The entrance of Ma'on Synagogue Summary of the trip area: The single track is named after the two main streams along which it runs - Nahal Asaf (Asaf Stream) and Nahal Kissufim (Kissufim Stream). The central loop is marked in by wooden posts showing a blue cyclist on a yellow background. Riding is only in the marked direction - clockwise in the central loop, except for the start/end paths which are two-way streets. Summary of the route: From Tel Gama - go north from the parking lot, on the edge of Tel Gama, and turn left to join the HaBsor single track until it forks leftward, cross HaBsor stream, climb the opposite bank and continue to Asaf Stream. After about 1.5 km further down the single track, those arriving from the Ma'on Synagogue connect to the trail.  Continue on the single track between hills and mounds within the forest. Further along the route, you will reach the Kissufim observation tower. After about 4 km, further down the way, there is a fork for riders from Tel Gama (left) or the Ma'on Synagogue (right). Directed by our guides, the tour is led by Agronomist Uri Alon, who will lead us through diverse fields and hothouses:  Colorful cherry tomato hothouse - How does a tomato climb up like a vine? What purpose do giant bees serve? We will visit an ecological greenhouse that utilizes biological pest control and will taste the fruits.  The homing pigeon race - Following Meir Shalev's book "A Pigeon and A Boy," we will hear about the family history described in the book and release homing pigeons. The herb farm - We will visit a hothouse where we grow various herbs. Greens are great for spicing up our food but also for stories and legends. We will crush the herbs between our fingers and smell and taste dozens of edible herbs, flowers and medicinal plants. Colorful carrot field - We will pick multicolored carrots and even take some home.

The Story of the Yamit Region – visitor center explains the towns of the Yamit Region. The fascinating story of the Yamit Region finds itself breathing life again. The official memorial site “The Story of the Yamit Region” tells the story of the place returned to within the Egyptian borders in 1981, then  willingly evacuated by its residents, with their businesses and homes, for the sake of peace. The visitor center was established in the town of Dekel in Hevel Shalom, where six towns and 2 kibbutz settlements have been established since the evacuation of Yamit, for a new settlement in the Negev. The visitor center represents a magical, nostalgic corner of pioneering, creativity, pride in place, human and personal stories – for each visitor to experience in their own way. The historic importance of Yamit has brought Zehava Shaked, Tamar Shivat – who evacuated from Yamit and established Dekel – to commemorate the information center for the general public. The site offers the Yamit Visitor Center (museum), the Yamit Walls, the monument of the Steel Division, a peek into the life re-established and a tour of the greenhouse and galleries of artists of the area.

My name is Michal Marom, owner of "Gotik" Studio in Kibbutz Re'im - featuring hand-made designed ceramics products and artifacts. It all started when I was in the third grade, skipping from one class to another. In 1986 I moved to Kibbutz Re'im in the Western Negev and studied at the Visual Arts College. The meeting point between the desert and my professional knowledge and love for art, design and aesthetics gave birth to tools and sculptures made from natural, crude materials, combined with earth-toned lacquers. I also produce sinks, statues, natural-looking, raw tableware, and more. The influences of the Western Negev landscapes, the anemones, the green spaces - are evident in my work, artistically and emotionally, as I combine mixed techniques. Visitors are welcome - by appointment only. The gallery offers a wide variety of artifacts, pottery work, sinks to order by measure, wood paintings and more.

La Medavesh - the center for off-road bike enthusiasts in Israel, in the heart of the area, includes multiple bike routes suitable for families, singles, as well as various points of interest. Bike tours departure point, snack bar, bike shop, repair shop, equipment and clothing. In addition, the complex includes a pedal-karting track for children. The trail goes through several long technical passages and obstacle courses in the forest. Route length: 24 km Start and end point: Be'eri Summary of the trip area: Passes close to the Bitronot Be'eri nature reserve, old Be'eri - Nakhbir, the Sulfur Mines, HaBsor Stream and Gerar Stream and back to LaMedavesh. The trail's northern part has another 6 km singletrack loop through the Be'eri Forest. Summary of the route: The path is marked with a red bicycle marking on the signs. The trail starts at the entrance of Kibbutz Be'eri, along the fence and down a narrow wadi (stream) to a junction in the hidden valley and then up the wadi towards Nakhbir. Further along the route, we will climb to the observation point of the triangulation point in the Sulfur Mines, passing a round British well - remnants from the British Mandate. The path continues until the confluence of the streams with the Gerar stream. Then, we will ascend to a sparse and sandy eucalyptus forest and turn left toward the Saqiyah well on the water facilities road that stretches from the Re'im campsite. Finally, we will return north to the access road between Nakhbir and Be'eri. Difficulty level: high Route length: 36 km Summary of the route: The explanation is from south to north, but the rider may go in both directions - from Kibbutz Tze'elim to Be'eri or vice versa.. From Tze'elim tower, ride adjacent to Road 222 towards the Tze'elim Junction, turn left to HaBsor Stream and cross to the other side; at the fork, turn left and ride along the banks of the stream and back on track. Around ​​HaBsor Reservoirs, go up a little from the stream for a scenic ride and come back down. A little after Sharuhen Mound, go up from the stream again and enter HaBsor Park (Eshkol). Continue on the British railway bridge and cross the stream. Continue riding along the stream and near the Nirim reservoir, cross Road 232 under the bridge and go to the Gama campsite. "From destruction and ruin we shall grow a strong and healthy vine, with deep roots and quality grapes for the glory of our home, for the lives of our father-grandfather's partners, and in memory of those who are no longer with us." In 2006, Gideon Pauker, one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz, dreamed of producing wine from grapes he would grow himself, for his own enjoyment and that of his relatives and friends. Encouraged by his friends and partners Gadi Moses and Haim Peri, and in partnership with additional members from the kibbutz, the dream took shape: the group planted a small vineyard on the western side of the kibbutz and established the winery in Nir Oz's first shelter. Gideon served as the winemaker and vintner of the small winery, joined by his project partners in carrying out various tasks to transform grapes into wine. Over approximately 17 harvests, Gideon fulfilled his dream. On Saturday morning, in early October, when the wine was ready but had not yet begun aging, the kibbutz fence was breached, and a bloodthirsty Gazan mob flooded the area. For eight hours, hell reigned in our small piece of paradise. By day's end, the dimensions of the disaster became clear: Gideon was murdered in his home, and three of his partners – Haim Peri, Yoram Metzger, and Gadi Moses – were kidnapped to Gaza. Many other partners also lost family, friends, and homes. During those difficult days, the final wine remained orphaned in the shelter. With help from people in the Israeli wine industry, we, Gideon's family, managed to rehabilitate the vineyard, rescue the wine, and bring it to bottling, as a legacy for the wine group from Nir Oz. In spring 2024, we planted a new vineyard in memory of our father-grandfather, and alongside the friends' winery, we established "Pauker Winery" – a boutique family winery that invites everyone to taste quality wine overlooking the fields of the western Negev, and to continue Gideon's legacy and dream. With us, you will receive rural hospitality, seating facing the vineyard with an open view of the fields, and a quality boutique wine experience with a family story of growth and hope.

HaBsor Stream: On the banks of HaBsor Stream stretches one of Israel's largest streams, exiting Eshkol Park, which is mostly man-made (KKL -JNF, the Natural Parks and Nature Reserves Authority and Merchavim Regional Council all partner in the development and operation of the park). The Park - A lush, green focal point for those touring the Northern Negev region. Each season "paints" the park and its surroundings in different hues and shades, and from February-March the entire area is dyed in "anemone ruby" - a breathtaking sight that beckons us to leave our homes, go out to nature and rejoice in these 'blossoms'. The park entrance - West of Ofakim. You can reach the park from Yad Mordechai Junction, Magen Junction, and Gilat Junction. The springs burst out of the ground in several locations, and the water is collected into a series of artificial reservoirs and plunge pools in the park's center. In addition, children's playgrounds have been placed for travelers' pleasure. The park and its surroundings offer diverse entertainment options. Museum contains coins and iron engravings. The entire history of Israel since 1920 and until the end of the century is displayed through the art of iron. The "Iron Heritage Museum" in Kibbutz Tze'elim is an historic gem and a spectacular iron-clad artwork,  imbued with a personal story and presenting the Jewish and Israeli heritage over the past century. The museum is recognized as a national heritage site and was established with a government grant. It is designed with unique characteristics and creates an incredible collection of metal works produced by a family of Jerusalem craftsmen: It includes metal arts, medals, symbols and stories from the days of the British Mandate, the resilience and the struggle for independence, the days of the establishment of the State of Israel until to the present day. The site is suitable for groups (18-50 people), and direction is given by Boaz Kretchmer - the grandson founder who worked n the alleys of Jerusalem at the beginning of the previous century - Boaz is an excellent storyteller integrating his family history with the story of the establishment of the museum and its distinctive design. The story is incorporated into the Zionist and national heritage episodes down through the years. Visitors discover connections with the personal and familial stories and with the special display. The tour duration is 1.5 hours.

This is the first lookout established in the Negev, in 1943. The site offers visitors a wide range of activities. The site has a unique restoration of systems for collecting rainwater which served the town until the arrival of a water pipeline in 1947. Gvulot lookout shows the original water pipe, which has  lain in the sandy ground for 60 years. The water pipe, along with the water collection plant, has been signposted and prepared to receive visitors. Our story begins in May 1943 and continues today in visits, fun activities, day and night, summer and winter.

From there, you will return to the road from which you came, about 200 m west of the KKL-JNF observation tower. From this point, we can turn right back toward Be'eri. A milion stars hospitality  Camping under a sky full of stars and pastoral peace in the heart of the desert. The site has spacious and pleasant camping huts, a centrally lit hospitality hut with mats and mattresses for low sitting, which also serves for gatherings and meals, where you can sit around a fire and enjoy the magic of the desert. The visitors can enjoy an equipped and convenient main kitchen including: refrigerators, BBQ, tables and lots of space. The huts include lighting, mats and mattresses, electrical sockets, tables and benches. Staying at Kibbutz Tze'elim, which sits on Nahal HaBsor in the Eshkol Regional Council, allows you free entry to the Hammam and the swimming pool (in season), in addition to the outdoor accommodation complex.

Shahar and Sagai, a chef and a pastry chef couple, returned to the south after years in the leading kitchens of Tel Aviv — bringing a subtle Parisian touch to the Negev. All dishes are handmade and prepared fresh each day, which is why the menu changes daily, depending on the seasonal produce supplied by local farmers. The cart offers a dairy menu, with options suitable for vegans and for those who require gluten-free choices, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy. Chocolate Café is back! On October 7th we lost a beloved friend and partner, the late Chocolatier Dvir Karp. For a long time the cafe was closed, and now it has reopened. At "Chocolate Café", you can relax with a light meal, a fruit smoothie and superb coffee. And in the near future, the hope is also to return to serving desserts and of course chocolate, with the goal of being the most similar to the beloved pralines made by Dvir. *Seating is available inside, in an air-conditioned space, and outside, in a roofed balcony. *On the menu (dairy Kosher) - sandwiches, toasts, salad and more. *We can host groups on-site for a light meal (by pre-order only). *The complex is fully accessible and offers a secure space.

"From destruction and ruin we shall grow a strong and healthy vine, with deep roots and quality grapes for the glory of our home, for the lives of our father-grandfather's partners, and in memory of those who are no longer with us." In 2006, Gideon Pauker, one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz, dreamed of producing wine from grapes he would grow himself, for his own enjoyment and that of his relatives and friends. Encouraged by his friends and partners Gadi Moses and Haim Peri, and in partnership with additional members from the kibbutz, the dream took shape: the group planted a small vineyard on the western side of the kibbutz and established the winery in Nir Oz's first shelter. Gideon served as the winemaker and vintner of the small winery, joined by his project partners in carrying out various tasks to transform grapes into wine. Over approximately 17 harvests, Gideon fulfilled his dream. On Saturday morning, in early October, when the wine was ready but had not yet begun aging, the kibbutz fence was breached, and a bloodthirsty Gazan mob flooded the area. For eight hours, hell reigned in our small piece of paradise. By day's end, the dimensions of the disaster became clear: Gideon was murdered in his home, and three of his partners – Haim Peri, Yoram Metzger, and Gadi Moses – were kidnapped to Gaza. Many other partners also lost family, friends, and homes. During those difficult days, the final wine remained orphaned in the shelter. With help from people in the Israeli wine industry, we, Gideon's family, managed to rehabilitate the vineyard, rescue the wine, and bring it to bottling, as a legacy for the wine group from Nir Oz. In spring 2024, we planted a new vineyard in memory of our father-grandfather, and alongside the friends' winery, we established "Pauker Winery" – a boutique family winery that invites everyone to taste quality wine overlooking the fields of the western Negev, and to continue Gideon's legacy and dream. With us, you will receive rural hospitality, seating facing the vineyard with an open view of the fields, and a quality boutique wine experience with a family story of growth and hope.

For the past 15 years, our handmade burgers are lovingly produced every day from the freshest meat! Dozens of yummy toppings for you to choose from, or just pick one of our crazy combos - vegan options are also on offer! Our menu includes meat lovers/ vegetarian / vegan dishes. The ISIS Brewery The least expected yet most logical place for a brewery with taps dispensing fresh, chilled beers in the heart of the desert. You can also find us in pubs throughout Israel, but there is nothing like fresh, ice-cold draught beer. A boutique brewery in Moshav Dekel, at the edge of the Western Negev. A Coffee Cart in the Heart of Kibbutz Re'im Ameet Cafe is a warm and welcoming coffee cart located in the heart of Kibbutz Re'im, set within an open, green space. It is a place to pause for a moment, breathe in the quiet, and connect with the peaceful atmosphere of nature and human connection. Good Coffee, Fresh Food, and Good People The cart serves quality coffee alongside fresh sandwiches, focaccia pizza, salads, pastries, and desserts. The setting is ideal for a brief stop or a relaxed gathering with friends and family, in a pleasant and unpretentious atmosphere. The cart is accessible and accommodated, including disabled facilities, with convenient parking nearby. The Story Behind the Cart Ameet Cafe was established following the events of October 7th, and is named in memory of Amit Gabay z"l, who was murdered just before his 18th birthday in the youth neighborhood of the kibbutz. Amit was Adi's eldest son. The proprietors, Adi and Kobi, close friends, chose to establish the cart out of a desire to create a place that continues Amit's spirit—a great love for life, for people, and for gathering among friends. A Place to Stop, Meet, and Feel at Home Amit loved nature, simplicity, and small moments of togetherness, and a can of Prigat coffee was always part of the experience. From this spirit, Ameet Cafe was born—a place that connects people, nature, and good coffee, inviting everyone to stop, sit, and feel at home.

A rustic, family-run boutique patisserie producing a variety of cakes, cookies, quiches, and pastries. Family and couple picnic baskets are also available for pre-order and pickup. The patisserie holds a kosher certificate. Dine-in is not available; advance ordering is required.

OPA was born at the heart of the ostrich farm. The name OPA – grandfather in Dutch – is a tribute to the late Mike van Hardenbroek, who established the farm and built with his own hands every corner where we live, host, and dream. This is a place to pause for a moment, to sit without rushing, to meet families, travelers, and good people – and to feel at home, even if you've only come for a cup of coffee.
